It’s not quite like an episode of the Jetsons, but it’s a step in that direction.

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows launched its new robotics program this month, enrolling six teens and 16 youth, who formed teams and began building robots at the Donald W. Reynolds Facility.

The program will run every Friday; teens from 3-4 p.m. and youth from 5-6 p.m. The project offers a fun way for students to learn the engineering behind robotics with hands-on experience…all the while, learning critical teamwork skills.

Support for this program was provided in part by the LEGO Children’s Fund.
