Date Smart program culminates with luncheon

By Suzette McCusker, Date Smart Coordinator

On Aug. 2 the Boys & Girls Clubs Date Smart program hosted its 2nd Annual Date Smart Luncheon.

Date Smart is a program designed to help teens develop respectful, supportive relationships through healthy communication and activities with peers. The summer-long session ended with a luncheon served in a sophisticated setting – the likes of which many of them have not experienced. Formal attire was required and staff served in uniform.

The menu was wonderfully prepared by our own chef and enjoyed by all. We are very excited to see participation in Smart Moves continue to grow.

The event was a great success and we anticipate even bigger numbers for next year!
