Get Fit For Life Week teaches healthy habits

Is health and fitness a part of your child’s life?

The Boys & Girls Club is getting ready to host Get Fit For Life week, Aug. 15-19 at our Donald W. Reynolds Facility at 2680 E. 9th Street. Kids ages 6-12 are eligible for the program, and enrollment will be limited to 100.

During the week, kids will do fun activities, play games and exercise. They will also learn about healthy habits and diet – the week includes a visit from the University of Nevada’s Cooperative Extension with a less on healthy eating. At the end of the week, on Friday Aug. 19, participating kids will take a field trip to Wild Waters … our star camper will win a Wii Fit!

For kids ages 6-9, the camp runs 9:30 a.m.-noon; for kids 10-12, the camp runs 1:30-4 p.m. For information contact Jordan Pontius, athletic director, at 331-5437. To sign up, please visit the membership office at the Club.
