We have so many excited things going on right now it’s hard to decide where to start…..
First, it’s Cioppino time! Plans are well under way for the 33rd Annual Jack T. Reviglio Cioppino Feed and Auction. This year is shaping up to be another successful auction. With only three weeks until the event, we have only a few spaces remaining. If you have not gotten your table or tickets yet, please make sure you contact Erin Pieretti or call 331-5437. Remember, board and event volunteers are actively seeking donations throughout the community daily. If you have a business or service you would like to get in front of nearly 1,700 people, give us a call. I can hardly wait to report back to you on the success of this very important event!!
Secondly, if you have driven down Foster Drive and looked across from the Reno High Football field, I am sure you have noticed some big changes! Reno Tahoe Construction (RTC) has been working fast and furious to clear the lot and the way for a new Boys & Girls Club. Fred Reeder and crew expect to have the demo work completed soon. Because of the generosity of local foundations and select individuals and corporations, we’ve been able to meet our initial fundraising goal and have begun the process for building a new BGC on Foster Drive. But don’t worry; there is still plenty of time for you to get involved in this important project. While we reached our initial goal, we now begin the public phase and still have more fundraising to do for the project. If you visit our Pennington Project page, we’ve created a number of ways for you, your family or your business to be recognized in the project. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to commemorate your involvement in a project that will affect our community for generations to come.
And finally, special thanks to all the board, volunteers and staff that have been working so hard to keep our organization moving forward and fulfilling the mission of serving those kids in our community that need us most. Along with your continued support, we are truly making our community a better place to be.
For the kids,
Chief Professional Officer
