Holiday Helpers Adopt Families for the Holidays

The Club’s Family PLUS program and Donor Relations teamed up again this year to provide the Holiday Help adopt-a-family program to many deserving Club families. The program matches families in need that use the Club on a regular basis with many generous corporations, families and individuals within our community. The adopted families go through an application process and are matched with donors who help provide an amazing Christmas by purchasing gifts and needed supplies for their family. The gifts are dropped off at the Donald W. Reynolds facility on East Ninth Street where families come to pick them up. The program helps more than 150 families, totaling gifts for more than 700 individuals.

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is asking for your help this holiday season to accommodate the increase in number of enrollees for its annual Holiday Help adopt-a-family program. Businesses, families and individuals can adopt one or more families who are asking for assistance during this holiday season. Wish list items range from toys, clothes, food baskets and school supplies. Family sizes vary from small to large.

To adopt a family, contact Kathleen Graham at (775) 331-3605 ext. 210 or kgraham@bgctm.wpengine.com. Donations must be dropped off at the Donald W. Reynolds facility at 2680 E. Ninth Street between Dec. 2-17, 2013.
