The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates 35 years of Cioppino at the Annual Jack T. Reviglio Cioppino Feed and Auction, Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Donald W. Reynolds Facility. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for the silent and mobile bidding auction followed by dinner and live auction at 6:30 p.m.
The Cioppino Feed remains the Club’s signature fundraiser, bringing in almost 15 percent of the annual operating budget and impacting the lives of thousands of local children. The star of the evening is the cioppino, which is still made from scratch by Bud Sorensen, Bob Capurro and a talented team of Italian cooks. The silent and live auctions feature more than 500 unique items and experiences that you can’t find anywhere else. The event is one of the most widely attended and celebrated fundraisers in the community, gathering 1,600 of northern Nevada’s top business and civic leaders to support the kids at the Boys & Girls Club.
“It’s very exciting to celebrate 35 years of this tradition-rich event with all the attendees, volunteers and staff,” said Mike Wurm, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. “Cioppino is a one-of-a-kind event and experience, that currently helps us serve more than 13,000 Club members at 20 sites in Reno, Sparks and Fernley.
Tickets for the event are $200 per person or $1,600 for a table of eight. Tickets are available to the public Monday, January 19. Pre-event auction registration and auction item donation submissions are currently available online.
