SUMMER CAMP 2019 REGISTRATION WILL OPEN APRIL 1ST!
Parent Membership Orientations are required for all new and renewing members. Membership Orientations can now be completed online. Parents must watch the mandatory orientation video and complete the online application. The $20 membership fee must still be paid in person, at the Clubhouse your child is attending. Payments can be made monday-Friday between the hours of 4-6PM.
Live orientations will still be held May through June at youth sites (download the Summer Youth Orientation Schedule below for exact days/times). A parent/guardian must attend an orientation before children 6–12 may start the Summer Camp program. Parents/guardians will receive all necessary forms and information at this 30 minute orientation.
Teens may pick up an application from the Membership Office or their Site Coordinator.
Membership year runs from June 1—May 31.
After May 31, members who have not renewed will not be able to attend the Club until orientation is completed.
Summer payments MUST be handled in-person at a Clubhouse.
SIGN UP FOR TRADITIONAL SUMMER CAMP
Summer is a magical and wondrous time of the year. Join us for a summer full of excitement and thrills. Activities include indoor and outdoor games, arts-n-crafts, sports and many more weekly activities. Summer Day Camp features weekly themes and special field trips (for an additional fee) including Wild Waters, Coconut Bowl, Jump Man Jump, Roller Kingdom, mini golf, movies, Discovery Museum, Reno Aces games, bowling, and arcades. Summer Day Camp includes breakfast and lunch daily. Weekly summer sign-ups and payments must be handled in-person, the Friday prior to camp at one of our five Clubhouse locations.
TRADITIONAL SUMMER DAY CAMP
Fee: $40 per week / per child
Fees must be paid in-person at the Clubhouse/location your child will be attending this summer. Payments must be made the Friday prior to camp.

YOUTH SUMMER LOCATIONS
To attend field trips or specialty camps, members 6 – 12 must have their membership card and a field trip T-shirt. T-Shirts are color coded by site: Pennington, DWR, Bresson Avenue Site = Green; Neil Road, Fernley = Orange; Lemmon Valley = Yellow
Lost shirts will not be replaced.
For safety purposes, please do not write the member’s name on the shirt.
Some field trips and specialty camps will require additional items such as waivers, towels, water bottles and sunscreen.
Credits will be issued only if the child is not at the Club due to an illness, family emergency, etc. However, credits must be requested no later than the day of the event.
Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows reserves the right to relocate the destination of a field trip without notice with a trip of equal or lesser value.
Field trips must be paid for the week prior for the member to attend. This allows the Club to make adjustments for staffing ratios.
SELECT A SPECIALTY CAMP
Specialty Summer Camp(s) add extra fun to summer! Kids learn to cook, build rockets and explore trails! Try a specialty camp in addition to our traditional summer camp day program.
Looking for exciting camps for special interests like science or swimming? Check out the Club’s array of summer Specialty Camps! These camps run in addition to and in conjunction with the Traditional Day Camp program at all sites, so campers can enjoy their Specialty Camp and then rejoin the Day Camp program before or after their assigned specialty camp time. Specialty Camp fees include the weekly Day Camp fee of $40. Specialty Camps are only offered at three youth sites in Reno and one site in Fernley, including the William N. Pennington Facility (1300 Foster Dr., Reno), Donald W. Reynolds Facility (2680 East Ninth Street, Reno) and Fernley Intermediate School (320 US Highway 95 A South, Fernley). Register and pay for Specialty Camps at the site which the camp is offered, Weeks 1 – 8 during the Summer Camp Program.
Campers can participate in Traditional Day Camp before and/or after scheduled Specialty Camp time with most camps.
Price includes weekly Traditional Day Camp fee of $40 / week.

All Summer Day Camp payments must be paid in person at the site of the summer camp your child is attending. Payments are due no later than closing on Friday (6:00 p.m.) for camp on the following week. We accept cash, check, money orders and VISA/MasterCard.

Financial Assistance & Liability Waivers
NO child is ever turned away because of the inability to pay.
Financial assistance is offered through the Children’s Cabinet or the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.
Financial Aid packets are available at all orientations or you can access the forms here and must be filled out and turned in with required documents before it will be processed. Proof of income is required as well as Social Security numbers.
Children can only be on one financial program at a time, and if you need to cancel service, a written request must be provided.
Financial Aid year runs July 1—June 30. Parents/Guardians must apply annually to qualify.
Liability Waivers are also required for ALL BGCTM MEMBERS. Please print and submit upon registering your child for membership.
