Every kid who comes to the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is unique. Each child has different needs, interests, passions, and skills. That is why our Club boasts nearly 130 different programs and events to meet the diverse needs and interests of our members. What they learn in these programs can provide the foundations for a lifelong love of learning. The club offers programs before school, after school, and during school breaks.
These programs give members ample opportunity to serve their community and others as they realize they are part of something much bigger than themselves.
We offer daily afterschool homework help and tutoring as well as money management classes, college and career preparation, computer classes, science camps, reading clubs and much more.
The Club plays an important role in helping our members make smart decisions and establish healthy habits. From building self-esteem to dealing with peer pressure to creating healthy eating habits, we offer comprehensive health and life skills programming.
We are pleased to offer an array of arts programs that are as broad as our members’ interests. Whether its music, fine arts, drama or dance, the arts room is one of the most popular places to be at the Club.
We offer leagues and camps for football, basketball, baseball, indoor soccer, dodgeball, karate, skiing/snowboarding and golf; and instruction and informal play for lacrosse, rugby, fencing, skateboarding and much more.
Our traditional summer activities include indoor and outdoor games, arts-and-crafts, sports and many more weekly activities.
The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows offers full-day programming for Washoe County School District and Lyon County School District breaks including: Fall break, Winter break, Spring break and Summer break.
The Club is a safe and fun place for teens to go after school, during the summer, and now on distance learning days! For some, it’s a place to make friends or get help with homework. For others, it’s a dance studio, a free meal, a spot to make music or a gym to play ball at.

Kids and teens need somewhere to go before and after school – a place that’s not only safe, fun, and supportive, but also filled with enriching activities and an array of learning opportunities. The Club is that place. We offer before and after school programs at our Clubhouses and, in partnership with the Washoe County School District, select public schools throughout the region.
